Once your session is booked, we will chat about your ideas for the session, clothing choices, and what type of location you have in mind for your session. I want my clients to be happy with their images, so communication about all of this fun and important stuff is key!
Location
I am an on-location, natural light photographer. I love the feel that the outdoors brings to images. I have a few different locations that I love to shoot at that include fields, gardens, ponds, lakes, and bridges. I also love Downtown Denton for some urban fun! I am always interested in hearing when my clients have a special location in mind, and am always up for it! Your session fees include travel by me, up to 30 miles (one-way). For locations outside of that 30 miles, travel fees will apply.
Clothing
When it comes to clothing, color is so important! Contrasting colors are always great. Stay away from putting everyone in one solid color (especially white). It is important to take the time to plan outfits for your session. The better you look and feel, the better your images will be! You can follow me on Pinterest (that little bar on the left labeled “Pinterest” has a link to my pinterest) to find great ideas for clothing choices and coordinating everyone in your family. Wardrobe changes are totally fine with me, and I encourage them so that you will get different looks in your images!
I like to take a simple, laid-back and natural approach to sessions. I completely understand that there are times where your child may just NOT be interested in the camera. No worries…I will work hard to get those cute little smiles and belly laughs! I am not one of those photographers who stays strict to a time schedule, and I know that with kids….you just never know. You can plan, plan, plan…only to show up for your session and have your little sweetie running the show! So please don’t stress about any of that stuff….it will all be FINE. Promise!
